A NETWORK OF LOCAL CHURCHES AND PASTORS
The Alliance of Pentecostal & Charismatic Churches of Singapore (APCCS) is a network of churches, Christian organizations, and pastors.
Our heart is to serve pastors and leaders in Singapore, which we do in three ways: Representing their interests and advocating on their behalf, helping them access quality resources for ministry needs, and connecting them with other Christian leaders in an environment of authentic relationships.
The Seeds of a Vision
In 2012, two pastors–Rev Dominic Yeo, Senior Pastor of Trinity Christian Centre, and Rev Yang Tuck Yoong, Senior Pastor of Cornerstone Community Church–broached the idea of a formal network of churches where pastors would be able to connect with one another, seek assistance and find true fellowship. The conversation gained momentum until 2014, when both the Assemblies of God Singapore and the Festival of Praise Churches collaborated on a conference called “Fresh Fire”.
At that conference, keynote speaker Rev Samuel Rodriguez released a prophetic word over the two pastors. Another incubation period of three years followed, as like-minded church leaders prayed and fine-tuned the alliance’s vision and direction. Finally, on 19 April 2018, the Alliance of the Pentecostal & Charismatic Churches of Singapore (APCCS) was officially launched over a lunch fellowship at Mandarin Orchard Singapore, with pastors and leaders representing various churches and Christian organisations in attendance.
OUR STATEMENT OF FAITH
This Statement of Faith is intended as a basis for fellowship among members of the Pentecostal and Charismatic Churches of Singapore Limited.
We believe:
- That the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God.
- In the One True God, who exists eternally in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, commonly known as the Trinity.
- In Salvation through Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who incarnated through virgin birth was divine and human, lived a sinless life and through His vicarious and atoning death and resurrection brings salvation to all who put their faith in Him.
- In the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, subsequent to salvation, which is accompanied with the biblical evidence of speaking in tongues; the endowment of spiritual gifts for strengthening the Body of Christ, the empowerment to be effective witnesses, and the enablement to live godly lives.
- In Healing for the sick as an integral part of Christ’s atonement. It is God’s privilege to Christians to heal the sick and to deliver the oppressed.
- In the soon Return of Jesus Christ as King of kings and Lord of Lords, which will include the resurrection of the dead in Christ and the rapture of the living faithful in Christ.
- That Marriage ordained by God is a permanent relationship of one man and one woman faithfully and totally committed to each other as companions for life.
